We work to tackle the causes and impacts of poverty here in East London, and further afield. Based in the East End since 1884, we offer high quality, timely services, informed and shaped by the experiences of the people we work with.
A huge part of our success within the community relies on the unrestricted funds generated by our venue hire activities.
Nestled in Central London, Toynbee Hall offers fantastic spaces catering for weddings, filming, meetings, conferences, training and events.
Our previous guests include notable people like William Beveridge, Clement Attlee, Pierre de Coubertin, the Barnett family and many others. In the 19th century, Henrietta Barnett became an iconic figure at Toynbee Hall for setting the groundwork in hospitality, networking and event planning.

Our advice services, youth and older people’s projects and financial inclusion work are all geared towards supporting members of our community, not only in times of crisis but on a longer term basis by providing them with the skills and support they need to open up access to opportunities.
